Our February Meeting

Search and rescue.jpg

Steve McGowan, of the newly formed London Search and Rescue, gave an interesting talk.

It is a charitable organisation that assists the police on the search for vulnerable missing people. We learnt how this volunteer organisation whose motto is, ‘100% professional in all but pay’, operates and is trained. He told us that every year in London 44,000 people go missing – equivalent to a small town.
