West Kent Federation Darts Tournament

2017–18

We have entered two teams in the tournament this year. Practice is on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the social night at our regular venue. 

TEAM A:  Caroline (captain), Evelyn, Laura W, Sian, Sue B and Sue R .

TEAM B: Kay (captain), Linda, Mandy, Max, Pauline and Sue H .

2016–17

We played 2 games but lost both, so were out of the competition. We played Swanley and Hextable on 14th December and lost 2–1 on a play-off in the final game. Caroline even managed to get one dart on top of another – unfortunately it scores nothing! Then, on 11th January, we again lost 2–1 in a closely fought match with our old friends at Honor Oak.

2015–16

In October 2015, 41 WIs entered in the West Kent Federation Darts Tournament. Six months later, Catford was through to the semi-final, played on the evening of the 9th May, at Tovil. The semi-final draw was Catford WI v Bearsted Green WI and Allington Castle WI v Sutton Valence WI. Catford won their match 2-0 and went through to the final against Sitton Valance. To much excitement Catford won the final 2-1, with Max getting the double in the second game and the winning double in the 3rd and final game. The team received their winning medals from Annette Smith, Federation Chairman.

2014–15

We played our first competitive match against Crockenhill WI on 17th February 2015. The match was well supported by members from both WI’s as well as visitors from Honor Oak. After winning the first game, we lost the match 2–1.
